Police have identified the Tucson man accused in the fatal shooting of his neighbor.

Police say Gregory Walters, 56, shot his neighbor during an argument about 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Monterey Gardens Apartments, 1039 N. Alamo Avenue.

Walters detailed what happened once officers arrested him outside the complex.

Officers entered his apartment and found the body of Wade Lockwood, 53, on the floor.

Lockwood was visiting Walters before the shooting. Police have not released details about the argument that prompted the shooting.

Walters was booked into the Pima County jail on one count of second degree murder.
