Ridiculous Prop. 123 front page article correlating the yes or no vote to a voterβs affluence. Really? Someone had this harebrained idea and you created a story to support it; this is journalism? Everyone I know that voted against did so because they believe we should fund public schools with tax dollars without caps and not spend the land trust principle.
The plan will "pump" $3.5 billion? In the 2013-14 Arizona schools received over $4 billion from state and local sources. If we funded equal to national average, they would've received $4 billion more, in just one year! Now that would be pumping. Sadly, you roped in superintendents to lend credence to your false premise, missing completely the real story which does relate to affluence; why millionaires poured millions into the "yes" campaign. Anything to do with the promise of tax breaks?
