Tamandua mom at Reid Park Zoo gets a sonogram

Reid Park Zoo in Tucson celebrated an "Earth Day Birthday" on April 22, 2017 with the arrival of a baby female tamandua. Reid Park Zoo is working with the Southern Tamandua SSP® to place several of its tamanduas and to continue breeding based upon the SSP® recommendations. Though not on exhibit, Zoo tamanduas make regular appearances during education programs and formal presentations. Video courtesy Reid Park Zoo
