Sheriff's deputies are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect in a burglary that took place in broad daylight on Tucson's northwest side, authorities said.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on August 23, deputies responded to a burglary in the 5100 block of North Cliffed River Dr., near West River and North La Cañada Road, and learned that a suspect forced his way into the house through a rear sliding glass door, said Deputy Ira Sewell, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman.

The suspect was caught on a home security camera scouting out the residence before eventually entering the house and taking items that included electronics and jewelry, Sewell said.

At one point, the man leaves the home, but returns to steal items that he wasn't able to get the first time, Sewell said.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
