Quarterbacks, from left, Noah Fifita, Cole Tannenbaum, Brayden Dorman (throwing) and Jayden de Laura participate in drills at University of Arizona football practice on April 4, 2023.

Arizona freshman quarterback Brayden Dorman announced that he's entering the transfer portal following head coach Jedd Fisch's departure to Washington.Β

Dorman and sophomore running back Jonah Coleman are the first two players to leave the UA football program, with others expected to follow.Β

The 6-5, 225-pound Dorman signed with the Wildcats in 2023 as a four-star prospect and held offers from Colorado, Cal, Iowa State, Mississippi State and Kansas, among others. He was the third quarterback to join Arizona since Fisch was hired, joining Jayden de Laura, who transferred to Texas State on Monday, and current starter Noah Fifita.Β Β

Dorman, the Colorado Springs native, threw for 10,285 yards over four seasons at Vista Ridge High School, putting up 116 touchdowns against 37 interceptions. As a senior, Dorman completed 71.4% of his passes for 3,783 yards and 49 touchdowns with nine interceptions.

Dorman didn't appear in any games during his lone season at Arizona.Β Β

The Wildcats currently have two scholarship quarterbacks for the 2024 between Fifita and four-star Phoenix-area native Demond Williams.Β
