2017 Hansen Top 100

Salpointe's Bijan Robinson (5) right, finds some room to run around the end and by Saguaro's Antonio Cuevas (5) in their 4A state championship game at Arizona Stadium on December 2, 2017.

Salpointe Catholic and four-star 2020 running back Bijan Robinson added another option to his recruitment. On Monday, USC offered Robinson and became the fifth Pac-12 school to officially offer the sophomore.Β

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound Robinson told the Star that USC head coach Clay Helton and offensive coordinator Tee Martin spoke with him over the phone Monday afternoon to offer him.Β

Rated as the No. 6 running back and the third best prospect in Arizona in 2020, per 247 Sports, Robinson led the Lancers to a 4A state championship appearance and rushed for 2,023 yards and 26 touchdowns this past season.Β

Robinson was also named to the AIA All-State First-Team in 2017 and proved to be a promising back in Arizona. He even showcased his athletic abilities this past season when he hurdled over a Tucson High defender in September.Β

How significant is the USC offer? For what it's worth, Robinson's favorite player to watch growing up was Reggie Bush, which is the reason why he wears No. 5. If Robinson were to choose USC, he would become the first player from Tucson and Salpointe Catholic to play for the Trojans since offensive lineman Kris O'Dowd, who played for USC from 2007-10.Β

Robinson is also considering Arizona, Washington, Arizona State and Utah.Β Β
