Four-star quarterback Demond Williams, a star from Chandler Basha High School, officially signed with the Arizona Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon.  

Williams passed for 10,035 yards and 93 touchdowns over his career at Basha. Williams was a finalist for the Ed Doherty Award following his senior campaign. 

The 5-11, 180-pound Williams is the 19th-best quarterback nationally and the highest-rated overall offensive in-state prospect, according to 247Sports.com. Williams is the highest-rated quarterback to sign with Arizona under head coach Jedd Fisch. 

Four-star RB Jordan Washington, safety Turran Williams sign with Wildcats

Four-star running back Jordan Washington and three-star safety Turran Williams are among the final signees for Arizona during the early signing period.

Washington, a Long Beach, California native and Jordan High School star, rushed for 3,024 yards and 38 touchdowns over his high school career. 

“He’s dynamic,” said Jordan head coach Jon Nielsen. “It’s pure energy, quickness. Those things come by once in a lifetime — those talents. Arizona got a good one. ... Jordan is just special. You put the ball in his hands and you see what happens.”

Williams, a 6-3, 190-pound safety, signed with Arizona over Utah, Washington and Colorado State, among others.

Indiana CB Jordan Shaw officially signs with Arizona

Former Indiana cornerback Jordan Shaw, Arizona's first commit in the transfer portal, officially signed with the Wildcats. 

The 6-foot, 170-pound Shaw, who is a Downey, California native and St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy standout, had 12 tackles and a pass breakup in one season with the Hoosiers. The former three-star prospect signed with IU over USC, Oregon, Arizona, USC, Colorado, Arizona State, Washington and BYU, among others, in 2023.

Shaw played in the 2023 All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, the same venue hosting Arizona for the Valero Alamo Bowl. Before committing to Indiana, Shaw pledged to Colorado, which had current UA assistant director of recruiting Armond Hawkins on staff.

Shaw joins an Arizona secondary that’s expected to return every starter from this season, including cornerbacks Ephesians Prysock and Tacario Davis, safeties Gunner Maldonado and Dalton Johnson, and nickelback Treydan Stukes. The Wildcats will lose graduate transfers Martell Irby and Dylan Wyatt after this season.

Arizona’s cornerback room in 2024 will consist of Prysock, Davis, Stukes, Shaw, redshirt freshman Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine, freshman Emmanuel Karnley and incoming freshman Rahim Wright.

SoCal cornerback Rahim Wright signs with Arizona Wildcats

The other half of the Rancho Cucamonga, California tandem signed Arizona on Wednesday. 

Three-star cornerback Rahim Wright officially signed with the Wildcats, joining Rancho Cucamonga High School teammate and linebacker Stacy Bey, whom were both committed to San Diego State until flipping to Arizona in October. 

Wright became the latest addition to the UA's secondary that will return every starter next season. 

The 6-foot, 175-pound Wright, who's also a standout long-jumper, also held offers from Colorado, SDSU, Idaho and Nevada, among others. 

Arizona signs Glendale trio

The Apollo 3 is complete for Arizona's 2024 recruiting class. 

Glendale Apollo High School stars in running back Adam Mohammed, offensive tackle Matthew Lado and guard Michael Watkins signed with the Wildcats; Watkins signed earlier in the morning.  

The 6-6, 260-pound Lado is rated by 247Sports.com as the 27th-best recruit in Arizona. The 6-foot, 180-pound Mohammed, who picked the UA over Cal, is rated by 247Sports.com as the 31st-best prospect in Arizona; Rivals.com lists Mohammed as a Top 20 in-state prospect. Mohammed is the Class 5A record-holder for career rushing touchdowns (94).

In four seasons at Apollo, Mohammed rushed for 5,180 yards on 614 carries. He was one of three future Wildcats to be named a finalist for the Ed Doherty Award given to the top high school football player in Arizona, along with Phoenix-area wide receiver Brandon Phelps and quarterback Demond Williams. 

Former Tennessee safety Jack Luttrell committed to the Arizona Wildcats on Monday, becoming the third acquisition for the UA in the transfer portal.

Arizona signed Tennessee transfer safety Jack Luttrell on Wednesday.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Luttrell signed with the Volunteers over Texas A&M, Colorado, Arkansas and Notre Dame, among others, as a three-star prospect from Moultrie, Georgia in 2023. He didn't appear in any games for the Volunteers in his lone season at Tennessee. 

As a standout at Colquitt County High School, the two-way Luttrell had 211 tackles, five interceptions and eight pass breakups, along with 850 receiving yards, 495 rushing yards and 247 passing yards, in addition to 1,061 kickoff return yards and 280 punt return yards. 

Luttrell is the third addition through the transfer portal for Arizona, joining Indiana transfer cornerback Jordan Shaw and UC Davis defensive tackle Chubba Maae. Former four-star recruit and Missouri transfer D.J. Wesolak, a 6-4, 235-pound edge rusher, was also in Tucson visiting over the weekend, and is strongly considering the Wildcats. 

Justin Hylkema, a 6-8, 315-pound offensive tackle from Santa Clara, California, committed to Arizona on Thursday. 

Wildcats sign 'Moose' at offensive tackle

Three-star Northern California offensive tackle Justin Hylkema, also known as Moose, became the second offensive lineman to sign with Arizona's 2024 recruiting class. 

The Santa Clara, California native and Adrian Wilcox High School star chose the UA over Washington State, UNLV, Nevada, Colgate and Utah State. The 6-8, 315-pound Hylkema also generated interest from Oregon, Washington, San Diego State and Oregon State, among others.

Las Vegas-area wide receiver Audric Harris, one of the highest-rated prospects in Arizona's 2024 recruiting class, signed with the Wildcats on Wednesday. 

Harris, a 6-foot, 175-pound receiver from national powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School, chose the UA over Cal, Arizona State, Hawaii, Utah, BYU, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh and Washington State, among others. Harris is rated by 247Sports.com as the third-best prospect from Nevada in 2024.

In three seasons, Harris logged 59 catches for 1,165 yards and 15 touchdowns.  

Three-star tight end Charlie Crowell, a 6-5, 230-pound Bend, Oregon native, committed to Arizona, becoming the 17th commit for the Wildcats' 2024 recruiting class.

Bend, Oregon: Home of the last functioning Blockbuster in the world and now one of the tight ends for the Arizona Wildcats' 2024 recruiting class. 

Three-star tight end Charlie Crowell, a 6-5, 230-pound star at Summit High School, signed with the Wildcats on Wednesday. Crowell committed to Arizona during UA tight ends coach Jordan Paopao's 37th birthday in June. 

Crowell also held offers from Washington State, Idaho, Cal, Air Force and Northern Arizona.

Four-star defensive back and Seattle product Rahshawn Clark flipped from Cal to Arizona.

Rahshawn Clark makes it official with UA

Four-star defensive back Rahshawn Clark signed with the Arizona Wildcats' 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday. 

Clark, a former Cal commit, is the third-highest-rated prospect in Arizona’s ’24 class behind Los Angeles-area running back Jordan Washington and Chandler quarterback Demond Williams, according to 247Sports.com. Those three are the Wildcats’ only four-star commits for this upcoming recruiting cycle.

Clark, a 6-foot, 180-pound star at Garfield High School in Seattle, also held offers from Colorado, Louisville, Michigan State, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Mississippi State and Georgia Tech, among others.

Wildcats add SoCal LB Stacy Bey

Arizona signed three-star Stacy Bey, a standout from Rancho Cucamonga, California, who was originally committed to San Diego State before flipping his pledge to the UA, along with Rancho Cucamonga High School teammate and defensive back Rahim Wright. 

Bey selected the Wildcats over SDSU, Florida State, Louisville, Washington and Washington State, among others.

Arizona signs first kicker of Fisch era

Michael Salgado-Medina, the first kicker and punter recruited by Arizona since the hiring of Jedd Fisch, signed with the Wildcats during the early signing period on Wednesday.

At Kohl's Kicking Camp, the five-star Salgado-Medina "showed great refinement in May of 2023 at the Western Showcase Camp," his evaluation said. 

"His charts were very good but his drill work and performance in competitions are what stood out. He showed an ability to handle pressure as he did during his (high school) season. ... Salgado-Medina has a chance to be a top player in the 2024 class," Kohl's said. "His long frame and good hands are hard to find. His leg speed and overall athleticism are at the D1 level. Salgado-Medina has all the tools to be a heavily recruited 2024 combo kicker-punter."  

Cats ink Lone Star State edge rusher

Arizona signed its only Texas prospect of the 2024 recruiting class Wednesday morning in three-star edge rusher Eduwa Okundaye. 

The 6-3, 220-pound Okundaye signed with the Wildcats over Kansas State, San Diego State, Tulane, Washington State, Sam Houston State and Texas State.

Okundaye is one of five defensive linemen expected to sign with the Wildcats on Wednesday. 

Arizona adds to in-state haul with 2-way standout Dylan Tapley

Arizona continues to add in-state prospects to its 2024 signing class.

Two-way standout Dylan Tapley of Scottsdale Desert Mountain is the latest player to sign an NLI with the Wildcats.

A flip from in-state rival ASU, Tapley is a three-star recruit listed at 6-4, 205 pounds.

Tapley totaled 147 receptions, 2,460 yards and 34 touchdowns as a receiver while adding 16 interceptions as a defensive back.

He's the fifth player overall and third from the state of Arizona to sign with the Wildcats so far.


Watkins is 1st of 3 from Glendale Apollo expected to sign with Wildcats

Arizona's fourth signee if from Glendale Apollo High School, and he won't be the last.

Offensive lineman Michael "Levelle" Watkins is the latest player to sign with the Wildcats.

Two of his prep teammates, running back Adam Mohammed and tackle Matthew Lado, are expected to sign national letters of intent later today.

Watkins (6-3, 295) is rated as a three-star prospect and projects as an interior lineman for the Wildcats.

Record-setting WR Brandon Phelps officially signs with Arizona Wildcats

The UA's third signee of the day is the No. 1 receiver in the history of Arizona high school football.

The Wildcats have officially added Brandon Phelps to the fold via American Leadership Academy in Gilbert.

Listed at 6-3, 190 pounds, the three-star prospect put up prolific numbers in the prep ranks.

Phelps totaled 282 receptions, 4,971 yards and 61 touchdowns in 46 varsity games across four seasons. Phelps is the all-time Arizona leader in catches, yards and TDs.


Chubba Maae, a 6-2, 370-pound defensive tackle transfer from UC Davis, announced his commitment to Arizona on Dec. 11.

Arizona stands to lose some defensive linemen after the Alamo Bowl. The Wildcats aren't wasting any time rebuilding that unit.

The second signee of the day is massive defensive tackle Chubba Maae, who comes to Arizona from UC Davis via the transfer portal.

Maae is listed at 6-2 and recently told the Star he weighs 370 pounds.

He had 15 tackles and one sack in eight games at UC Davis last season.

Maae prepped at Southern California powerhouse Long Beach Poly.

He joins junior-college defensive end Bryce Butler as the first official additions to Arizona's 2024 class.


Arizona landed a commitment from junior-college defensive lineman Bryce Butler for 2024.

Juco DE Bryce Butler is 1st prospect to sign with Arizona Wildcats

The first official signing of the day for the Arizona Wildcats is junior-college defensive end Bryce Butler.

Butler committed to Arizona just a few days ago. He comes to the desert from Garden City (Kan.) Community College, where he had 31 tackles and five sacks in nine games this past season.

Similar to former UA defensive lineman Paris Shand, Butler is from Toronto and prepped in Connecticut.

Garden City lists Butler at 6-5, 295 pounds.

247Sports rates Butler as a three-star prospect and the No. 39 overall junior-college player in the 2024 class.


Live updates of Arizona signing its 2024 recruiting class

Early Signing Day begins on Wednesday and the Arizona Wildcats will be signing members of their 2024 recruiting class all morning and early afternoon.

Arizona currently has 22 players committed for its 2024 recruiting class, which also includes three prospects from the transfer portal.

The Wildcats have the seventh-best class in the Big 12 — 50th in the country, according to 247Sports.com; Arizona has the No. 45 class nationally on Rivals.com.
