Last spring, a coaching change shook the foundation of Arizona women’s basketball.

This spring, a change elsewhere helped the Wildcats add a top-50 prospect to their 2026 class.

Four-star guard Arynn Finley announced Wednesday that she has committed to Arizona.

Finley had been committed to Florida, which recently fired head coach Kelly Rae Finley (no relation).

Arynn Finley attends Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is ranked 48th by ESPN in the '26 class. Etiwanda finished the 2024-25 season ranked No. 1 in the country and won three consecutive California Open Division state titles before losing in the semifinals this past season.

Guard Arynn Finley, a top-50 guard who had signed with Florida, committed to Arizona on March 25, 2026.

Finley will join three other incoming freshmen, plus center Callie Hinder, who enrolled in January. UA coach Becky Burke also said the program will add an international recruit.

The transfer portal for women’s basketball opens April 6. Five players have made their intention to leave public: center Achol Magot; forwards Blessing Adebanjo and Daniah Trammell; and guards Kamryn Kitchen and Tanyuel Welch.

Four players currently are expected to return: guards Sumayah Sugapong, Molly Ladwig and Mireia Jurado; and forward Montaya Dew, whose future remains in doubt because of recurring knee injuries.

Assuming no further outgoing movement, Arizona would need to add three to five players in the portal to fill out its roster.
