If you’re curious about the rebuilt Arizona women’s basketball team, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see the Wildcats play in person.

The UA announced its nonconference schedule Friday. It features 13 games, including two exhibitions. All of them will take place at McKale Center.

This year marks the first time since Arizona women’s basketball became part of the Pac-10 Conference (1986-87) that the Wildcats haven’t played a road game or in a neutral-site tournament before league play.

(Arizona didn’t play any nonconference road games or in any tournaments in 2020-21 because that season was truncated due to the pandemic.)

Last year, Arizona played three nonconference road games and in one neutral-site event in Palm Springs, California.

First-year UA coach Becky Burke told Arizona Desert Swarm that “a lot” of the schedule already had been finalized by the time she took over the program in April.

Coach Becky Burke gives autographs and chats with fans during a meet-and-greet event with the Arizona women’s basketball team at the Tucson Racquet Club on July 28.

Arizona plays its first exhibition game on Oct. 23 vs. West Texas A&M. The season opener is Nov. 6 vs. UC Riverside.

The UA also is bringing back Field Trip Day for students on Dec. 10 vs. Eastern Kentucky.

Only one of Arizona’s nonconference opponents, Northern Arizona (Nov. 21), ended up in the top 150 in the final NET rankings for the 2024-25 season. The Lumberjacks finished 88th and went 2-0 against the Wildcats.

Here’s Arizona’s 2025-26 nonconference slate. While opponents have been determined for Big 12 play, the schedule has yet to be released.
