Arizona's latest pickup in the transfer portal is another offensive lineman.

Former Michigan backup right tackle Tristan Bounds committed to the Wildcats on Sunday and becomes the third offensive lineman to sign with the UA, joining Texas Tech tackle Ty Buchanan and Georgia Tech offensive lineman Jordan Brown.

The 6-8, 305-pound Bounds played the last four seasons at Michigan and was a part of the Wolverines' national championship team as a backup last year.

Bounds, a Bethesda, Maryland, native, was a three-star recruit at Choate Rosemary Hall (Connecticut) and signed with the Jim Harbaugh-coached Wolverines in 2021. Bounds played 41 offensive snaps over three seasons at Michigan.

The Wildcats are in need of offensive linemen after losing NFL-bound tackle Jonah Savaiinaea, veteran center Josh Baker and left guard Wendell Moe Jr., who transferred to Tennessee on Wednesday. The only returning starters on Arizona’s offensive line are left tackle Rhino Tapa’atoutai, who suffered a season-ending knee injury this year, and guard Alexander Doost.

Arizona signed five offensive linemen in its 2025 recruiting class: tackle Louis Akpa, guard Javian Goo, guard Sione Tohi, guard Losipini Tupou and in-state tackle Jaxon Griffin.

The Wildcats have 12 newcomers in the transfer portal.
