Your next girls night out (or date night) can earn you a green thumb.

We're talking about Plant Nite, the newest member of the art-and-sip party industry to join Tucson.

Trading paints and brushes for soil and succulents, you'll get your hands dirty creating and planting your own terrarium while you drink cocktails and hang out with friends.

Since events happen at different locations around town, chances are you'll discover a new bar or neighborhood hangout.

The flow of the night is similar to a paint and sip party, with an instructor guiding you through the how-tos and giving suggestions at a local bar or restaurant. Materials and instruction are included in the price of your ticket. Drinks and food can be purchased at the establishment.

Each event has a different theme. For example, Lake Trails and Succulent Butterfly Garden are a couple upcoming parties in Tucson.

A couple examples of a finished product.
