The upcoming Made in Tucson market will feature 250 vendors.

Twice a year, hundreds of tents and tables line Seventh Street while thousands of people explore the bustling street with tote bags in tow.

Inside the tents, you'll find everything from handmade cosmetics to prints of javelina drawings to saguaro-shaped earrings to the tastiest cookies you can imagine.

It's all part of the biannual Made in Tucson market, hosted by the Historic Fourth Avenue Coalition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 30 along Seventh Street west of Fourth Avenue

This year's market is slated to feature 250-plus makers β€” like always, every vendor on the lineup is local. Expect to peruse beaded jewelry from Beads Over Diamonds, casita-shaped planters from Plant Casitas, chocolate bars from Chocolate 66, watercolor art from Sonoran Watercolors and far more than we can list here.

Find everything from apparel and stickers to macrame and woodwork at Made in Tucson.

Eighteen food trucks are also part of the event, including vegan favorites from Lovin' Spoonfuls, Korean ramyeon from Yum Yum Pocha, burgers from CowPig and veggie Tositos from Viri Viri Bomb Bomb.

Where should you park? Metered spaces are free on the weekends or you can park at a garage in the downtown or University of Arizona areas. The streetcar, which is free to ride, has a drop-off point right by the action.

Made in Tucson started in 2018 with around 50 vendors as a way to highlight Tucson's creatives.

Funds from Made in Tucson's vendor fees are reinvested into the community in ways such as street clean-ups and murals. The coalition also runs a year-round event space that plays host to book club meetings, craft nights and other community gatherings.

"It's not just about commerce, it's about community," Made in Tucson says on their website. "The Made in Tucson Market is a celebration of the risk-takers and dream-makers that personify the Tucson maker movement. It honors the authentic nature of the rugged desert and the unique spirits that call it home. It revels in the profound resilience and connection of our community."
