Your kiddos can test out their green thumbs.

Let your little gardener grow.

Maybe you've heard of Green Things' super popular Succulent Bowls + Mimosas workshop  — returning Saturday, Sept. 2, BTW.

But now it's time for your kids to get their hands dirty.

At the Kids Miniature Garden Workshop, children can pick out their own pots and plants to create kid-sized gardens with the help of Green Things staff.

This can be a cheap morning — especially if you bring friends. There's no cost to attend the workshop. You only pay for supplies, with small terracotta pots starting at $1 and plants starting at $1.99. A small bag of soil will cost about $3 and that's where going in with a friend will save you a few bucks, says Claire Brocheu, a staff member at the nursery at 3384 E. River Rd

"We always try to get the community involved in any way we can," Brocheu says. "We love to try and get kids more involved in plants and nature and all of that."

Side note: The nursery is planning to install a Little Free Library stuffed with plant-related and botanical books in the near future. 📚🌿

The workshop is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 26 at Green Things, 3384 E. River Rd. For more information, visit greenthingsaz.com or call 299-9471.
