The magnet wall is on the side ofΒ  the new Girl Scout building stairwell.Β  It's grand opening is this weekend.

We're so exited for the weekend, it feels like we won a prize or something.

Free bowling at Free Family Fun Day

The Vantage Bowling Centers around town are kicking off their Fall youth bowling league by inviting families to bowl for free this Saturday.

In addition to the free bowl, there will also be fun actives and games for the kids.

Parent's Night Out at the JCC

Parents, feel like going to an R-rated movie or eating at a place that doesn't have a kids menu?

Consider taking the kiddos to Parents Night Out at the Tucson Jewish Community Center.

Drop off the kids for a night of fun activities, a bounce house, prizes and pizza while you enjoy some me time.

Bookmans Midtown Block Party

The history section at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, 1930 E. Grant Rd., is history as James Harmon helps transfer books to their new location. After more than 30 years in the same location, Bookmans moved to the site of its former Sports Exchange store at 3330 E. Speedway.

Help break in the new Booksmans Entertainment Exchange Midtown location.

Enjoy food from Whole Foods' outdoor BBQ and learn all about Bookmans' community partner, Literacy Connects.

There will be face painting and balloon animals, a Stories That Soar performance at 5 p.m, and a parking lot movie screening presented by The Loft Cinema at 6 p.m.Β

6th Annual EFF Celebrity Spelling Bee

Watch grown adults from the Tucson community attempt to partake in an old school spelling bee. We can already feel the buzzing laughter.

Proceeds benefit the Educational Enrichment Foundation for the Tucson Unified School District and will go toward classroom supplies, school projects and new equipment.

Attendees are also invited to the afterparty at Club Congress.

Celebrate the life of Tucson border activist, author, filmmaker and belly dancer Kathryn Ferguson in a performance held by her former students.

This final show will feature belly dancers at all skill levels β€” from amateur to professional performers.
