Thousands gather to shop from more than 100 vendors, eat at food trucks and more during the Tucson Together market hosted by #ThisIsTucson at 55 N. Fifth Ave. on Feb. 24. To the left in purple is Luna Scrubs.

Last Saturday, thousands swarmed downtown Tucson in support of more than 100 mighty local businesses during #ThisIsTucson's second-ever artisan market. A couple people even drove four hours from Las Cruces, New Mexico to shop.

Dubbed Tucson Together, the market took place Saturday, Feb. 24 at 55 N. Fifth Ave. We watched as the community shopped baked goods, paintings, candles, jewelry and so much more. We watched as the community stood in the sunshine waiting in line for tacos and drinks from local food trucks. We watched as the community carried giant packs of paper towels and snacks to donate to Youth On Their Own.

Our goal at #ThisIsTucson is to foster a community who knows and loves Tucson. This market was part of that. It was our way of encouraging the community to shop local. It was our way of showing our love for local artists and thanking them for making Tucson what it is.

We hope you stopped by, picked up a desert-themed sticker or maybe a T-shirt, sipped on a smoothie or munched on some sourdough bread. We hope you found makers and small businesses that you'll support far beyond this event.

Thank you, Tucson, for being the warm community that you are. Thank you for showing up. You're the reason we do what we do.

If you missed the market, we hope to host another one soon. Until then, here are some fun photos and videos of Saturday's event. See you next time ❤️

Love,
