A 30-year-old man who was lying in the street early Tuesday was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash, Tucson police say.

Anthony Steven Aurdal was struck by a car about 1 a.m. while lying down in the northbound lanes of North Oracle Road, near West Fort Lowell Road, police said Wednesday in a news release.

Aurdal was declared dead at the crash scene.

The driver never stopped after the crash, the release said.

The vehicle that struck Aurdal is described as an early 2000s light-colored Ford Taurus.

Anyone with information or video of the crash is asked to contact 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
