A jailed 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the killing of a man last month on Tucson's southwest side, authorities say.

Quincy Brown is accused in the shooting death of Uriel Alejandro Hermosillo-Gomez, 29, on March 4 in the 2000 block of West Canada Street, west of South Mission Road, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Detectives said Brown was suspected in the case, and his home in the 6000 block of East 27th Street was put under surveillance. He was stopped on March 11 and booked into jail on drug charges, the release said.

On Thursday, Brown remained jailed and was charged on suspicion of first degree murder. Bond was set at $1 million, the release said.
