Marana Healthcare: MHC, in conjunction with the University of Arizonaβs College of Nursing, has been awarded one of only 54 Enhancing Behavioral Health Workforce Supplemental Funding Opportunity for Health Centers grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration. The funding will increase access to opioid use disorder and other substance use disorder treatment in Pima County by increasing the number of professionals and paraprofessionals trained to deliver behavioral health and primary care services as part of integrated, interprofessional teams. MHC will use the grant to increase its Medication Assisted Treatment program while partnering with the UA College of Nursing to increase the number of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students trained in opioid and substance use disorder.
