The University of Arizona’s Downtown Lecture Series will focus on immortality this year.

Presented by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the series will explore the topic for five Wednesdays with faculty from the college speaking.

J. Edward Wright, the director of the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, will begin the series discussing “The Histories and Mysteries of Heaven,” 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St., according to press materials.

The series is free, but tickets will be available at the theater box office starting at 4 p.m. the day of the lecture.
