The Pima County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant and got away in an employee's car.

The incident happened on Wednesday just after 6 a.m, the sheriff's department said in a news release.Β

A man who is thought to be about 25 to 30 years old walked into the restaurant at 3760 S. Palo Verde Road, ordered food and went into the restroom, the department said.Β

Upon his return from the restroom, he tried to pay for his order with an expired debit card. When an employee questioned him about the card, the suspect demanded the employee's car keys and money from the register.

The suspect then allegedly stole the employee's car and fled, the sheriff's department said. The car was found by Tucson Police Department officers, but the suspect is still at large.Β

The man is said to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a red Chicago Bulls ski hat.Β

The sheriff's department asked anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
