One person was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at the Deconcini Port of Entry in Nogales that involved a a border officer, authorities said.
The wounded person was flown to a Tucson hospital, said John Mennell, a spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The shooting happened about 3:30 p.m. and closed busy border crossing for several hours.
No details about the shooting have been released.
The Deconcini port was fully open Thursday.
