One person was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning that closed a portion of Interstate-19 south of Tucson for several hours, authorities say.

Two people were thrown from the vehicle in the crash about 8:30 a.m. near Papago Road, the DPS said. One person survived, but the extent of the person's injuries was not immediately known.

DPS did not release any additional information at this time.
