What: Benβs Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is βbelled.β
Last weekβs recipient: Cindy Kramer.
Nominated by: Cynthia Senn.
Why: Kramer is a retired Amphitheater teacher who volunteers to teach reading each week to students who are reading below their grade level. She tutors about three mornings each week, one on one with students at Wilson K-8 School, Senn wrote in her nomination letter. Not only does Kramer support these students in helping them with their reading, she also nurtures and compassionately emulates kindness to each child, Senn wrote.
