A 24-year-old man was shot and killed late Wednesday on Tucson’s east side, police said.

Officers answering a call about gunfire found Trevyiente Anthony Smith-Henry mortally wounded in the parking lot of a Burger King restaurant in the 7000 block of East Golf Links Road, just west of South Kolb Road, Tucson police said in a news release.

Despite life-saving efforts, Smith-Henry, an employee at the restaurant, died at the scene.

As of Thursday afternoon, detectives had not determined a motive or identified potential suspects in the killing. The investigation continues, the release said.
