A 57-year-old woman was killed and two people were injured in a head-on crash Wednesday northwest of Tucson, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 3:22 p.m. Wednesday near where West Picture Rocks Road converts to North Wade Road, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.
Samantha Elliott, was driving a 2008 Kia Sedan east on Picture Rocks when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, the department said.
Elliott was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unidentified driver of the Colorado and a passenger were both injured in the wreck. The driver's injuries were described as life-threatening.
The investigation continues.
