Last week’s recipient: Eric Abrams, principal at Ironwood Elementary School.

Why: For creating a kind and caring environment at the school. His values clearly flow from him to the staff to the students, Nebeker wrote in her nomination letter. Students clearly observe the examples of kindness and respect, she also wrote. Abrams is retiring at the end of the school year, she wrote, and he should be β€œacknowledged not only for the contribution and commitment to student education and working with other educators ... but also for his kindness, caring and compassion.”
