A Tucson couple that runs a mobile dog grooming business is planning a major expansion in the coming months.
Shahin and Larry Urias, who operate Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers, recently leased 600 square feet at 3925 E. Pima St. for their base of operations as they move toward growing their Tucson truck fleet and then launch across Arizona.
Shahin, a former Sport Clips manager and Larry, a retired mechanical engineer, brought the dog grooming business to Tucson in 2023. It was started by Shahin’s son in Texas earlier that year.
“We’ve been thrilled by the Tucson market’s reception to Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers,” Shahin Urias said. “Our clients have been attracted to the same things that drew us to this business . . . we love being able to offer convenience, consistency and a high level of care for pets.”
Lucky Dog plans to add at least four more trucks to its fleet in Tucson.
