The 90s are back.
A high pressure system this week will boost temperatures across Tucson above 90 degrees this week, the weather service says.
In fact, Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day in Tucson so far this year, with the high temperature set to reach 96 degrees. And it's expected to reach 98 degrees in Phoenix that day, the National Weather Service in Tucson says in its forecast for the week.
The earliest day for Tucson to reach 90 degrees was Feb. 14, 1957. The latest first 90-degree day in Tucson was May 16, 1905.
The earliest day for Tucson to reach 95 degrees was March 4, 1910. The latest first 95-degree day in Tucson was June 6 1971, the weather service says.
