In their first team scoring meet of the outdoor season, Arizona Track & Field swept the team titles at the Jim Click Shootout.

The event, held Friday and Saturday at Drachman Stadium, came to a close with the men scoring 209 points and the women scoring 199.50 points, outperforming Kentucky, Harvard, Duke, Louisville and Northern Colorado by 40-plus points.

Arizona sophomore Jade Brown clocked the fastest all-conditions time in program history in the women’s 100m of 11.07 (+2.5), breaking Brianna Glenn’s all-time record from 2001. Meanwhile senior Zach Extine’s time of 13.49 in the men’s 110m hurdles was just 0.02 seconds off the program record. Junior Brian Limage clocked personal best times in both the 100m (10.32) and 200m (20.50).

On Friday, the Cats recorded three event wins: Youssef Koudssi, men’s discus (59.71m); Ruth Pardy, women’s 3000m (10:08.33); and Ian Sanchez Lopez, men’s 3000m (8:20.10).

On Saturday, the final day of the competition, UA took first in eight events: Brown, women’s 100m; Extine, men’s 110m hurdles; Limage, men’s 100m and 200m; Antonia Sanchez Nunez, women’s 400m hurdles (56.18); Yan Vazquez, men’s 400m hurdles (50.95); McKenna Watson, women’s 200m (23.14); and the men’s 4x100m relay team (James Onanubosi, Limage, Isaac Davis and Tyson Tippett).

Later this month the Wildcats are headed to Azusa, Calif., for the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., April 16-18, and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., April 16-19. They return home for the Desert Heat Classic on May 3.
