Chance Comanche

After a season with the Memphis Grizzlies' G League team, former Wildcat center Chance Comanche has been named to the Magic's Summer League team.

Comanche's mom, Melissa McGee, tweeted out the news earlier this week and the Magic confirmed it Thursday.

Comanche averaged 9.2 points and 5.8 rebounds over 45 games for the Memphis Hustle last season, after he was not taken in the 2017 NBA Draft following his departure from Arizona after two seasons.

Hustle coach Glynn Cyprien said Comanche improved as last season went on, to the point where he was generating increased interest.

"He’s very intriguing," Cyprien told the Star at the NBA Combine last month. "He’s going to some other teams’ minicamps and I think if he shows well in them, his next goal is to get on some team’s summer league team. And from that point on, you just never know.”

Comanche signed a G League contract with Memphis last season. The Grizzlies hold his G League rights but not his NBA rights.
