Arizona spring ball

Receiver Tetairoa McMillan snares a throw while running routes against the Wildcats secondary at Arizona Stadium during a spring practice session on April 2.

It's officially the last week of Arizona's spring practice schedule. Here are notes and takeaways from Tuesday's practice.

* Arizona star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was sidelined with a leg injury he sustained in a one-on-one battle with cornerback Tacario Davis during Saturday's practice at Arizona Stadium. McMillan walked to the locker room and missed the rest of practice on Saturday. On Tuesday, McMillan wore a walking boot on his left foot and moved around the Dick Tomey Practice Fields on a one-legged scooter. His status for the rest of the week is unknown.

Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan wears a boot on his left leg while watching the Wildcats during spring football practice in late April. UA coach Brent Brennan expects him to be ready to go for the 2024 season.

* Former Arizona quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles attended practice on Tuesday.

* With McMillan out, Arizona's punt returners included wide receiver Kevin Green Jr., cornerback Jai-Ayviauynn Celestine and nickel back Treydan Stukes. Green has consistently been the first player returning punts this spring.

* Second-year wide receiver Malachi Riley hauled in a 50-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Noah Fifita.

* Freshman running back Jordan Washington had a run for over 30 yards in one of the final team periods. Washington planted his foot near the line of scrimmage and cut towards the right sideline for a huge gain and the most noticeable rep for him this spring. Washington needs a year in Arizona's strength and conditioning program, but the Long Beach, California native is oozing with potential.

* Defensive back Devin Dunn intercepted quarterback Cole Tannenbaum to end practice.

* San Jose State transfer running back Quali Conley is still out with a leg injury, but was at practice without a boot on.

* Left tackle Raymond Pulido and left guard Wendell Moe were out again, but were on the sidelines in their jerseys. Freshman left tackle Matthew Lado returned to practice and took second-team reps behind Rhino Tapa'atoutai.
