Detectives are hoping for new tips in the 1992 killing of a 19-year-old student who was dismembered.
Diana Vicari was last seen near the Tucson Convention Center on the evening of Oct. 22, 1992. That same evening a concert, "MoshtoberFest 92," was taking place at the venue.
Tucson police detectives gave the case a push this week by releasing a bright orange 30-year-old flyer advertising bands playing that night.
Detectives are asking anyone who was at the concert to contact authorities at: ColdCaseHomicide@tucsonaz.gov. Please provide your name and contact information, including a phone number, police said.
A day after Vicari’s disappearance, her severed arms were found by a person rummaging through Dumpsters in an alley near East Seventh Street and North Ferro Avenue, records show.
Those who remember the gruesome discovery have quickly run to online platforms to remember Vacari, the concert and the fear her killing caused.
