One of Arizona's highly-touted commits for the 2025 recruiting class announced a change in plans on Wednesday. Four-star Dallas-area wide receiver Terry Shelton decommitted from the Wildcats, he announced on X.
Shelton, a 6-4, 200-pound senior at Ranchview High School in Carrollton, Texas, said, "The decision was not easy, but I believe it's the best one for me and my future."
Shelton, who recently accepted an invitation to play in the Polynesian Bowl, committed to Arizona in June. He holds offers from TCU, Houston, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas, Arizona State and Illinois, among others. Shelton recently took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M.
Arizona's 20-player 2025 recruiting class ranks 47th nationally and seventh in the Big 12, according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.
