A 66-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of second degree murder following the death of a woman last month that was deemed "suspicious," the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies found the body of Regina Walton, 69, about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 3000 block of West Dakota Street, a neighborhood near West Irvington Road and South Cardinal Avenue. Deputy Adam Schoonover on Wednesday refused to say whether Walton's body was was found in a house or open area.

Walton's body showed "signs of trauma," the release said.

The death was investigated and on Jan. 30, George Fox, was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail.
