The Friends of Pima Animal Care Center will open an affordable veterinary clinic in central Tucson.

The nonprofit bought 5,060 square feet of space at 2661 N. First Ave. from Patrick Loop for $1.2 million.

Kameron Norwood and Dave Hammack, with Picor, represented the seller and Paula Valencia, with RE/MAX Results Commercial, represented the buyer.

The clinic will provide low-cost spay and neuter services and assistance from Friends of PACCโ€™s Keeping Families Together program.

โ€œWe see an opportunity to help families who are unable to access or afford care for their beloved companion animals,โ€ said Friends of PACC Board Chair, Clark Bright, โ€œAnd in doing so, we aim to help combat the ongoing overcrowding challenges at PACC.โ€

Dr. Erin Oโ€™Donnell has joined the project as medical director, along with Gary Zimnoch as the consulting business advisor.

The clinic is expected to accommodate up to 12,000 appointments annually and will be open late this year or early 2025.

The program is supported by community donations and volunteers.

Pima Animal Care is full, especially in their dog kennels. Kaleigh Murdock said PAC's dog kennels are past critical capacity which means they have more dogs than space. PAC is looking to find homes for their big dogs specifically but also have small and medium dogs as well as cats looking for new homes.

Pima St. and Lee Apartments, 4223-4245 E. Lee St. Allan Mendelsberg and C. Joey Martinez, with Picor, represented both parties.
  • Sports Empire Ventures LLC bought 2,380 square feet of retail space on 1.43 acres of land at 5943 E. Speedway from Joseph Manuel & Gail Marie Trueba Trust and Brett G and Hinsch Trust for $1.2 million. Dave Hammack, Stephen D. Cohen and Jose Dabdoub, with Picor, handled the sale.

Treat Ca

  • sitas LLC bought the eight-unit Treat Casitas, 2237 N. Treat Ave. from Gould Family Properties VIII LLC for $825,000. Allan Mendelsberg and C. Joey Martinez, with Picor, represented both parties.

Caliber Collision

  • leased the 27,808-square-foot former Big Lots space at 3959 N. Oracle Road from Red Mountain Retail Group. Aaron LaPrise and Dave Hammack, with Picor, represented the landlord. Spencer Gray, with EXP Commercial, represented the tenant.

Rockless Manufacturing

  • LLC leased 24,380 square feet of industrial space at 4261 S. Country Club Road from RRPC Inc. Jesse Blum, with Picor, represented the tenant and Max Fisher, with BRD Realty LLC, represented the landlord.
