Arizonaβs former guard and team leader in 3-point shooting, Lauryn Swann, has committed to Rutgers.
The move was first reported by On3Sportsβ Talia Goodman.
Swann, who only played one year with the Wildcats as a freshman, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
She entered the transfer portal on April 1 and was the seventh Wildcat to enter the portal, the Star previously reported.
βI want to thank the University of Arizona, the coaching staff ... my teammates and all the fans for their support during my time as a Wildcat,β Swann wrote in her social media announcement. βIβve grown so much both on and off the court, and Iβll always be grateful for the memories and experiences Iβve had here. After careful consideration, Iβve decided to enter the transfer portal and begin a new chapter in my journey. Thank you, Arizona, for everything!β
Arizona guard Lauryn Swann finds the seam between Baylor guard Sarah Andrews (24), left, and Baylor guard Darianna Littlepage-Buggs (5) in the third quarter of their Big 12 game at McKale Center, Jan. 8, 2025.
During her time at Arizona, she played in 31 games, averaging 8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. She had over 10 games with double-digit scoring.
Swann made a team-high 50 3-pointers, making 39.1% of her attempts from beyond the arc.
She also earned multiple Big 12 honors, including Big 12 All-State Bench Performance of the Week and two Big 12 Freshman of the Week awards. Earlier this year, she made the 2025 Big 12 All-Freshman Team.
The Queens, New York, native officially signed with Arizona as a four-star recruit on April 17, 2024.
At the time of her signing, former Arizona womenβs basketball head coach Adia Barnes said Swann was βtough, competitive and does a great job of navigating ways to be successful in multiple roles.β
