A 41-year-old woman was struck and killed Sunday morning in midtown while riding a bicycle in a marked and lighted crosswalk, Tucson police said.
Jennifer Nicole Hall was fatally struck about 10 a.m. while crossing within the marked and activated HAWK pedestrian crossing on East Speedway at North Richey Boulevard, police said in a news release.
Hall died at the crash scene.
"Initial information suggests the HAWK signal was displaying a solid red for vehicle traffic," the release said.
The driver of an eastbound 2021 GMC Terrain, an unidentified 55-year-old woman, stayed at the scene an cooperated with police.
The investigation continues.
